Coming off of its historic ninth overall win of the season on Wednesday evening, the Maritime women's soccer team plays the final game of its five-game home stand against the Sage Gators at 5 p.m. this evening. With a win this evening, Maritime will set another team record with three wins in league play, a feat never accomplished in the seven-year history of the program. Following Friday's game, the Privateers head to Long Island to take on the Rams of Farmingdale on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Last Game Recaps
On Wednesday evening, Maritime defeated the York (N.Y.) Cardinals by the score of 4-1. The Privateers got a pair of goals from freshman Marisa Athan (Mineola, N.Y./Mineola) to open up the scoring. With her second goal of the game Athan netted her first career game-winning tally on her fifth goal of the season. Senior Jorrie Trenkamp (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) and sophomore Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) also scored in the game, while junior Gabrielle Fox (Strasburg, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) had a pair of assists in the win.

Sage enters on a six-game skid, and has not scored in a full calendar month since its 5-0 win over Green Mountain on September 7. Emily Stevenson and Nicole Maher lead the team with three and two goals respectively. Teagan Waddingham has registered 77 saves and a 3.11 goals against average as she has played every minute in goal for the Gators.

Farmingdale plays St. Joseph's (LI) on Friday in what could prove to be a battle for a first-round bye in the Skyline Conference Tournament. In their previous contest, the Rams fell by a 4-0 score to the Ephs of Williams College, who are one of the top teams in the New England region.

All-Time Series
Maritime is 0-6 all-time against Sage, with the closest match coming back in 2011 when the Privateers fell by a 3-1 score in Albany against the Gators. In that game, Trenkamp scored on an assist from Melanie Lopez (Yonkers, N.Y./Saunders Trades & Technical) for the lone Maritime tally.

Maritime is also winless against Farmingdale in its seven all-time games against the Rams. Last season the Privateers fell at Reinhart Field to the Rams by the score of 11-0.
