Sage Defeats Maritime, 3-0, In Skyline Women’s Soccer Action Wednesday

        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 26, 2012) – The Maritime women's soccer team hosted Skyline-opponent Sage Wednesday at Reinhart Field and lost to the visiting Gators by the score of 3-0. The Privateers fall to 0-9 (0-2 Skyline) on the season, while Sage improves to 2-5 (2-0 Skyline).
 
        Freshman goalkeeper Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) made five great saves in the losing effort, all coming in the first half. Maritime got shots on goal by freshmen Caroline Reynolds (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) and Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville).
 
        The Gators were led by sophomore Lindsay Millett, who scored the first and third goals, both assisted by freshman Nicole Maher. Sage's second goal was scored by freshman Sara Tironi, assisted by classmate Alexandra Robert. Keeper Teagan Waddingham finished the day with two saves en route to her second-straight shutout.
 
        Maritime returns to the pitch on Friday, Sept. 28, when the team will travel up to Purchase, N.Y., to take on the Skyline-foe Panthers. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
