Privateers Drop Non-Conference Game To CCNY

        PURCHASE, N.Y. (Sept. 12, 2012) – The Maritime women's soccer team lost on the road to the City College of New York Wednesday at the turf field at Purchase College by the score of 8-0. The Privateers fall to 0-6 on the season, while the Beavers remain undefeated at 4-0.
 
        Freshman Meghin Paczkowski (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) recorded 15 saves in the full 90 minutes for her third double-digit save performance of the season. Maritime was outshot 32-3 on the night, with freshman Leanne Lavelle (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) (New Windsor, N.Y./Washingtonville) registering two of those shots and senior Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) tallying the other.
 
        For CCNY, senior Dzindzi Asamoah-Wade and freshman Taylor Jo Gillen each recorded two goals apiece, while the Beavers had four other goal-scorers. In goal, junior Nicole Carroll recorded two saves to record the shutout.
 
        Maritime returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 15, when the Privateers travel to Alfred, N.Y., to take on Alfred University. Game time is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Saxons' Merrill Field.
