SOMERSET, N.J. (Aug. 31, 2012) – The Maritime women's soccer team lost its season-opening game at the College of Saint Elizabeth Friday afternoon by the score of 3-2. The Privateers scored a goal in each half, but were not able to get the equalizer late.

Kadie Hook (Monkton, Md./John Carroll) (Monkton, Md./John Carroll), who got the assist on the tally. CSE scored two late goals in the opening half, however, and went into halftime with a 3-1 lead
In the second half, Maritime came out strong, scoring about 25 minutes in when Hook found the back of the net on a rifle from the top of the box off a pass by classmate
