THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Oct. 3, 2012) – The Maritime women's soccer team lost at home to local conference opponent Mount St. Vincent, 4-0, Wednesday night at Reinhart Field. The Privateers fall to 0-12 (0-4 Skyline) on the season, while the Dolphins improve to 5-5 (1-3 Skyline).

Laura Palino (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) (North Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) made her debut in goal for Maritime and recorded 12 great saves on the night. Amy Hansen (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich ) (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) fired it, but Dolphin keeper Marni O'Shea made the save. The game was scoreless at the end of 45 minutes.
In the second half, MSV freshman Allison Bhadai scored two goals 12 minutes apart to take give the Dolphins a 2-0 lead. In the 75th minute, senior Brittany Kehoe found the back of the net and then, five minutes later, freshman Victoria Astorino rounded out the scoring with a breakaway goal. In net, O'Shea made two saves to earn the victory.
Maritime is back in action on Friday night, when the Privateers welcome in Skyline-foe NYU-Poly for a 7 p.m. game at Reinhart Field.
