THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Sept. 20, 2011) – The Maritime women's soccer team will take on the College of Saint Elizabeth at Reinhart Field Tuesday night. The game is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m.

Inside the Series

The two schools have played each other once a year for the previous four years. The teams are tied with two wins apiece: Maritime won in 2009 and 2008 and Saint Elizabeth won in 2010 and 2007.

Last year, then-junior Samantha Easterman (Amityville, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) (Amityville, N.Y./St. John the Baptist) tallied the lone goal for Maritime in the 59th minute off an assist by then-sophomore Jorrie Trenkamp (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) to even the score at 1-1. However, the Screaming Eagles responded quickly as then-sophomore Catherine De La Cruz scored her second goal of the game in the 61st minute, propelling her team to victory.
