YONKERS, N.Y. (Sept. 26, 2009) – Junior Kaitlin Murray and freshman Jorrie Trenkamp each recorded a hat trick on Saturday in the Privateers' 9-0 win over Mount Saint Vincent at Tibbetts Brook Park. With the victory, Maritime improves to 6-3 overall and earns its first Skyline win of the season to move to 1-1 in conference play, while the Dolphins fall to 0-4 (0-1 Skyline).

 

Murray scored three unanswered goals to start the second half, while Trenkamp tallied the first two goals of the game and then the last as time was expiring. Junior Kelly Swedalla added two scores and classmate Christina George chipped in with the other Privateers goal. On top of her three goals, Trenkamp also registered two assists in the game, while George, sophomore AudryAnna Ward and freshman Meghan Burke each recorded an assist apiece.

 

In goal, freshman Courtney Marietta stopped both of the Dolphins shots on goal to earn her fourth shutout of the season.

 

The Privateers return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 30, when they play host to Skyline-foe the Rams of Farmingdale State at 7 p.m. at Reinhart Field.
