Box Score THROGS NECK, NY - The SUNY Maritime women's volleyball team equalled their win total from last season after defeating Medgar Evers at home 3-1 (20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18). The Privateers improved their record to 2-4 on the season.
Offensively, the Privateers were led by Lauren Campbell (Nassau, Bahamas/Lyford Coy International) (Nassau, Bahamas/Lyford City) who recorded 9 kills and 3 service aces in her 4 games played. On the defensive side, she had 24 digs and a blocked shot. The Privateers also got a great offensive effort from Natalie Jackson (Stockton, Calif./Bear Creek) (Stockton, CA/Bear Creek) who had 33 assists as well as 4 kills and 3 aces.
Maritime will be on the road for a tri-match at Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday, September 27th. The Privateers are slated to play Sarah Lawrence at 1:00PM and Bard College at 2:30PM.
