The Privateers scored first to open the game 18 minutes in, from Mayer Nelson (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington)'s (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) 6th goal of the season. The Privateers held their 1-0 lead for nearly 25 minutes until Keston George scored his first goal on the evening with a minute left in the half. The game went to the half tied at 1.
The second half kicked off with George scoring his second goal of the night in the 60th minute. With a 2-1 lead, the Valiants stepped up their offense and scored two more times on the evening, from Sebastian Chica and Louis Villano. Villano's goal came off a rebound from a penalty kick he had with 4 seconds to go in the game.
Harris Papson (Flushing, N.Y./Francis Lewis) (Flushing, NY/Francis Lewis) saved 11 shots in the game, while his counterpart in goal, Jerry Tellier, was forced to make only 4 saves.
