Box Score FARMINGDALE, NY- Maritime women's lacrosse team ended their 2008 season with a 20-1 Skyline Conference loss to Farmingdale State on April 16. Maritime's record now stands at 1-11 overall and 0-5 in the conference, while Farmingdale improved to 3-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
It was freshman Andria Thornton (Saugerties, N.Y./Saugerties) (Saugerties, NY/ Saugerties) who scored the lone goal for the Privateers with 19:42 left in the second half. Thornton also had 2 shots and 1 groundball. Sophomore Meagan Golden (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) (Point Pleasant, NJ/ Point Pleasant) had 6 saves in goal in the first half and senior Jaime Gleber (Wilmington, DE/ Padua Academy) had 2 saves in the second half.
The Privateers women's lacrosse team has now concluded their second season as a varsity sport and are looking forward to next year's season and greater success.
