Women's Lacrosse Drops Second Game

Box Score THROGGS NECK, NY- The women's lacrosse team lost their second game of the year to the Wildcats of Cazenovia College by a score of 18-2.  Cazenovia improves their record to 2-1 while Maritime drops to 0-2.

Sophomore Kyle Kenny (Pearl River, NY/Nanuet) (West Nyack, NY/ Nanuet) tallied both goals for the Privateers, at 15:29 and 9:07 in the second half respectively, along with 5 shots on goal and 4 ground balls.  Sophomore Meagan Golden (Point Pleasant, N.J./Point Pleasant) (Point Pleasant, NY/ Point Pleasant) continued to shine for Maritime in goal, recording 12 saves and 5 ground balls.   Senior  Alicia Pauls (/) (Lafayette, LA) was second for the Privateers in shots with 4 and notched 2 ground balls.

On the Cazenovia side, goals were recorded by 5 different players.  Freshman Nicole Kimmel (Rome, NY/ RFA)  had 5 goals and 5 assists, making her the point leader for the game with 10.  Sophomore Courtney Caldwell (Black River, NY/Immaculate Heart) was second with 4 goals and 3 assists.

The Privateers will host Green Mountain College of Vermont at Reinhart Field on Thursday, March 13 at 4:00 pm.
