In 80 minutes of regulation play, the Privateers defeated Molloy College 26-12, to remain undefeated (3-0) for the season.

In the first half, Molloy scored first from a penalty goal. Shortly thereafter, sophomore Andres Wynter scored the first try for Maritime. Senior Captain Thomas Toomey (Queens, NY/Xavier) was successful in the conversion with a long, impressive drop goal. Maritime continued to hold Molloy from the try-zone, but did allow two additional penalty goals. With one minute left in the first half, Andres Wynter scored his second try of the game with an outstanding run. Toomey kicked his second conversion of the match. The first half ended 14-9.

The second half started out rough with the Privateers and Molloy battling in the rucks. On an outstanding attack, Junior Pete Rose scored the first try of the second half making the score 19-12. Late in the game, Maritime saw itself down two players, but the two-man advantage would not be enough for Molloy as the Privateers held the try-line with solidarity and stamina. Junior Anthony Maiello (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) scored the last try of the game. Junior Peter Rose (Brooklyn, N.Y./Xavier) put up the final conversion, ending the game 26-12.

The Privateers host William Patterson (3-0) on Sunday October 12th.
