THORGGS NECK, NY - The women's volleyball team fell short at Brooklyn College, losnig the match in three games; 16-30, 32-34, 26-30.  The Privateer women fall to 0-3 on the season.

The Privateers recorded a season high 23 kills on the evening, 7 of which came from senior Brittany McVea (Camillus, NY/West Genesse) (Camillus, NY/West Genesse).  Sophomore Claudette Killian (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Lima Christian School) (Baldwinsville, NY/Lima Christian School) recorded 4 kills and assisted on 5. 

Defensively, the Privateers had a season best 6.5 blocks as a team, getting 3 each from Jenny Rodriguez (Brooklyn, NY/Harbor School) (Broolyn, NY/Harbor School) and Lauren Campbell (Nassau, Bahamas/Lyford Coy International) (Nassau Bahamas/Lyford City).

The Privateers return to action this weekend for the first of three Skyline Conference pool play events.  Maritime will be traveling to Mount Saint Vincent College to take on the Dolphins as well as Old Westbury.
