Box Score THROGGS NECK, NY - The Privateer men's soccer team lost their opening game of the Valiant Classic held on the campus of Manhattanville College 4-1 against St. John Fisher. The Privateer's record falls to 2-2.
Mayer Nelson (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) (Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington) opened the scoring for the Privateers halfway through the first half. The defense took over after that, allowing only 3 shots on goal the entire half. The Privateers brought the 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
The second half was all St. John Fisher, as they scored four times within 20 minutes of returning to the field. Luke Lennox led St. John Fisher with 2 goals and an assist.
The Privateer's will play Manhattanville College on Sunday, in the second game of the Valiant Classic.
