Kenneth Kelly (Belle Harbor, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) (Belle Harbor, NY/Archbishop Molloy) scored a team high 18 points to help lead the Privateers of Maritime College to their second straight victory over the Cyclones of Centenary College in Skyline Conference men’s basketball action Saturday afternoon in Throggs Neck, NY.
Sophomore guard
Joseph Bracaglia (Jamaica, N.Y./Martin Van Buren) (Jamaica, NY/Martin Van Buren) scored ten points in the second half to lead the charge for the Privateers who had trailed by three at the end of one half, he would finish the game with 16 points. Junior forward
Michael Stolberg (Bayside, N.Y./Holy Cross) (Bayside, NY/Holy Cross) tallied his seventh double-double of the season with 14 points and ten boards.
Sophomore guard Alex Kuchar (Rutherford, NJ/Rutherford) scored a game high 27 points, playing the entire game for the shorthanded Cyclones. Senior center Stephen McNamara (Oak Ridge, NJ/Jefferson Township) added a double-double with 12 points and rebounds.
The Privateers return to action a week from today, Saturday, February 17, for their final game of the 2006-07 season, facing off against conference foe Yeshiva University in an 8:30 p.m. game.
