THROGGS NECK, NY- Farmingdale State defeated Maritime College 9-0 yesterday in a Skyline conference match-up.  Farmingdale's record now improves to 10-5-0 overall and 6-0 in Skyline play, making them the #1-ranked team in the conference right now.  Maritime falls to 2-9-0 overall and 2-4-0 in the conference.

In spite of being out-matched, the Maritime team played with great heart and never gave up.  Andria Thornton (Saugerties, N.Y./Saugerties) (Saugerties, NY/ Saugerties) was sensational in net for the Privateers, recording 21 saves and stopping more than 10 breakaways by the Rams offense.

Maritime's next game will be played at Bard College, Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 pm in another Skyline conference match-up.
