Box Score THROGGS NECK, NY - The SUNY Maritime men's soccer team extended their winning streak to four, with a conference victory over Polytechnic 6-0 on Saturday evening. Maritime improved to 10-4 (5-0) on the season.
Patrick Masango (Baltimore, MD/Phs Kumba) (Baltimore, MD/Phs Kumba) opened the scoring for the Privateers only 3 minutes into the game. The freshman would go on to assist on Efosa Ogbeifun (Benin, Nigeria/Chrisland College (Nigeria))'s (Benin Nigeria) first goal of the season, and then add another goal midway through the second half.
Following Masango in points was freshman forward Melih Alkyildiz (Eskisehir, Turkey/Atayurt) (Eskisehir, TKY/Atayurt) with two goals on the afternoon. Eric Mittermeier (Pomona, N.Y./Ramapo) (Pomona, NY/Ramapo) also scored in the game.
The Privateers will be traveling to Medgar Evers on Monday at 4PM.
