Throggs Neck, NY – Junior guard Justen Price (Yonkers, NY/Lincoln) scored a team high 18 points in 32 minutes of action, but the Privateers would fall to the Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology, 89-61 in a Skyline Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday night in Throggs Neck, NY.

 

Stevens was led by sophomore guard Anthony Passalacqua (Staten Island, NY/Wagner) who scored a game high 22 points, 20 in the first half. Three other Ducks finished in double figures as senior forward Michael Collins (Bronx, NY/Trinity Pawling) had 18, junior guard Waleed Farid (Woodside, NY/Stuyvesant) finished with 14 and sophomore guard Damien Palantino (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) scored 11 points.

 

Privateer junior guard Lamar Fields (Bronx, NY/Rice) scored 13 points and grabbed seven boards while sophomore Kenneth Chapman (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Robert F. Wagner) (Far Rockaway, NY/Robert F. Wagner) finished with seven points and seven rebounds.

 

Stevens now improves to 4-3 on the year and 1-1 in the Skyline, while the Privateers drop their second straight, falling to 1-5 on the year and remain winless in the Skyline at 0-2.

 

The Privateers return to action on Saturday, December 9 when they travel to Manhattan to take on the Maccabees of Yeshiva University in their third Skyline Conference game in a row. Tip-off is set for 8pm.
