Women's Swimming places first in every event at Lehman

Bronx, NY – For the first time in the programs’ history, the Maritime women’s swimming team placed first in every event to earn an 112-63 victory over Lehman College on Tuesday, December 5 at the APEX in the Bronx, NY.
 
Sophomore Diane Kruse (Port Jefferson Station, NY/St. Anthony's) (Port Jefferson Station, NY/St. Anthony's) had the best performance of her career, winning all three events she competed in. Kruse emerged victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke [137.90], as well as the 50-yard [35.30] and 500-yard freestyle [8:11.49] events.
 
In the diving portion of the day, junior Alyson Paz (Point Lookout, NY/Long Beach) (Point Lookout, NY/Long Beach) finished first in the 1 meter diving event with a total score of 162.30. Paz also had a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:08.87.
 
The Privateers will return to the water following the holiday break on January 18, 2007 when they host the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island in a men’s and women’s meet at 5:00pm.
