Dougherty scores 18 in loss to D-I Army

New York, NY – Sophomore forward Timothy Dougherty (Fresh Meadows, NY/St. Francis Prep) scored a team high 18 points and had eight rebounds in a 92-42 defeat to the Division I Army Black Knights in men’s basketball action at Christl Arena in West Point, NY.
 
Sophomore guard Kenneth Kelley (Belle Harbor, NY/Archbishop Molloy) had one of his better games of late, scoring nine points, all from downtown. Junior guard Lamar Fields (Bronx, NY/Rice) continues to perform well for the Privateers, finished with seven points, five assists and five rebounds.
 
The Black Knights were led by senior guard Matt Bell (Kokomo, IN/Kokomo) who scored a game high 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting. Senior center Jimmy Sewell (Tallahassee, FL/N. Fla. Christian School) and junior guard Jarrell Brown (Cleveland, OH/St. Peter Chanel) each added ten points for Army.
 
The Privateers return to action Wednesday, December 20, when they will host Ferrum College in a weekday matinee, 1:00pm game to be played at The APEX on the campus of Lehman College in the Bronx, NY.
