Throggs Neck, NY – Senior full back Tom Lorenzen (Montose, NY/Hendrich Hudson) scored his first ever try in four years of competition to help lead the Privateer Rugby team to a 63-0 win over Bard College which earned themselves their first Metro New York Division Championship in club history.

The Privateers owned Bard from the start, scoring 48 points in the first half. Senior flanker Jeremy Krider (Burke, VA/Lake Braddock) was just one of the many Privateers who scored tries to keep the Privateers unbeaten on the year. Maritime finishes the regular season with a 5-0-1, after tying Manhattan College on October 14.

The Maritime Rugby club now compete in the Northeaster Rugby Union Regional Championships in Batavia, NY.
