Throggs Neck, NY – Junior Marissa Webber-Bey (Far Rockaway, NY/Fashion Industries) had a career high 13 kills and freshman Claudette Killian (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Lima Christian School) (Baldwinsville, NY/Lima Christian School) had 25 assists and nine aces to help lift the Privateers to their second in three days over the Blue Angels of the College of New Rochelle 3-1 [30-16, 30-21, 26-30, 30-28] in women’s volleyball action Monday evening at Riesenberg Gymnasium in Throggs Neck, NY.

 

Junior Brittany McVea (Camillus, NY/West Genesse) (Camillus, NY/West Genesse) had a solid outing with ten kills, seven digs and four aces, while Jamie Gleber (Wilmington, DE/Padua Academy) (Wilmington, DE/Padua Academy) led the team with ten digs.

 

Tonight’s victory gives the Privateers their largest win total in over five years, 5-13 after taking their first Skyline victory in over three years on Saturday against Centenary College.

 

The Privateers will be back in action Thursday, October 19 when they travel to Manhattan to take on the Bloodhounds of John Jay College at 6:00pm.
