The Privateer offense took advantage of a Walter Reed fumble in the early goings of the game, as freshman running back
Greg Campisi (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) trotted into the end zone to put the Privateers up 6-0. This scoring drive became possible after a smart defensive play by senior linebacker

Billy Hickey (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) rolled out of his own end zone resulting in a safety.
Hickey, who played a majority of the second half in relief of Townsend, finished the game with 64 yards passing, while Townsend threw for just 45 yards.
