The Privateers held an early lead in this game, but foul trouble began to hurt them as they lost starting forward Maha Aid (Flushing, NY/The Kew-Forest School) after she picked up a quick three fouls. Junior guard Lillian Almo (Seattle, WA/Northwest Yeshiva) led the Lady Macs with 23 points and had four steals, while her younger sister Janna Almo finished with ten points, eight rebounds and also had four steals. Eleven of the twelve girls who stepped onto the court for Yeshiva scored at least one basket.
Senior guard
Kerri Herrmann (Central Islip, NY/St. Anthony's) (Central Islip, NY/St. Anthony’s) was the only other Privateer in double-digits as she scored eleven in her first game back since missing the prior two games due to lingering injuries sustained earlier in the year.
The Privateers will be back in action on Saturday when they take on the Rams of Farmingdale State in a 12pm home game. This will be Maritime’s last game before they leave for the winter break.
