Throggs Neck, NY – Maritime's men's and women's swimming teams had a pair of closely contested losses to William Patterson University on Tuesday November 8th. The men fell 88-79, while the women were defeated by a 100-85 final.

 

Juniors Joseph Stredny (Harveys Lake, PA/Dallas) (Harveys Lake, PA/Dallas), Al Juergens (Boylston, MA/New Fairfield) (Boylston, MA/New Fairfield). Michael Mutch (Hicksville, NY/Chaminade) (Hicksville, NY/Chaminade) and Drew Gossoo (Marlborough, CT/Xavier) (Marlborough, CT/Xavier) each had a first place finish for the men’s team. While senior Cheryl Driscoll (Los Alamos, NM/Los Alamos) (Los Alamos, NM/Los Alamos), sophomore Brittany McVea (Camillus, NY/West Genesse) (Camillus, NY/West Genesse) and freshman Dianne Kruse (Port Jefferson Station, NY/St. Anthony's) each had a first place finish themselves.

 

The Privateers will not prepare for their next meet, which will be the Skyline Conference Invitational taking place on Saturday November 19th and is being hosted by the Merchant Marine Academy at Kinds Point, NY.
