Coast Guard blanks Men's Soccer, 6-0

Throggs Neck, NY – The United States Coach Guard Academy pulled out a shutout win, breaking an eight game losing streak on Tuesday evening against the Privateers of Maritime College in Men’s Soccer action in Throggs Neck.
 
Junior forward Kevin Trujillo (Cucamonga, CA) scored the first and game winning goal right in front of the net after a pass from sophomore Martin Villa (Santa Clarita, CA) at 8:49 total time. Six different members of the Coast Guard team would go onto score in this game, with Villa assisting on two of them.  
 
Junior goalkeeper Sean Pfantzelter (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury) started in goal in place of usual starter Matt Kavanaugh (Penfield, NY/Penfield) who was under the weather. This was Pfantzelter’s first action in net since back on October 1st when he played a half against Mount Saint Vincent. Junior goalkeeper Brett Ettinger (Tampa, FL) had seven saves and recorded the shut out for Coast Guard
 
Today’s action was one of the Privateers final two non-conference games this season. On Thursday they will host the Panthers of Purchase College for a 4:00pm match. Then on Saturday, they will close out the season with a huge conference home game against Manhattanville College.
