Senior first baseman Brian McLaughlin made history as he capped of his stellar senior season by being named the first-ever All-American in Maritime baseball history. McLaughlin was named a member of the Second Team on the ABCA/Rawlings All-America listing as announced by the ABCA.
McLaughlin had a tremendous season at the plate for Maritime, graduating as the career leader in hits with 156, doubles with 30 and home runs with 14 in his 120 career games. He is also the program leader in RBIs with 112, total bases with 234, and is second all-time in runs scored with 99. On his final season, McLaughlin hit .450, also currently ninth in all of Division III, had a .757 slugging percentage, and finished the season with 14 doubles, nine home runs and 51 RBIs.
