Junior John Liccese had a strong start to his season as he helped Maritime to a pair of victories over Vassar on Tuesday, followed by a win over Mitchell at home on Sunday afternoon.

The junior had 14-assist efforts in both games, which set the single-game record of 14 assists in one contest. In addition to his assist total, Liccese had 24 points in Tuesday's 92-84 win over the Brewers, followed by an additional 21 points during Sunday's 93-85 win over the Mariners of Mitchell.

Liccese also added seven rebounds and had one block on the week, while shooting 50% from the field on 15-of-30 shooting. Seven on his 15 baskets were from beyond the arc, while he was also 8-of-10 from the charity stripe.
