Maritime College Athletics

Freshman Sean Hobson of the Maritime Men's Cross Country team helped the program to a third place finish at Sunday's Skyline Conference Championship race at Broadway Avenue Park in Sayville, N.Y.

Hobson was the second individual to cross the finish line as he was named the conference's Rookie of the Year as the league's top first-year performer to complete the course.
 
Hobson also earned First Team All-Conference honors with his effort on the afternoon as he recorded a time of 27:19.19 to lead the way for the Privateers as he was just over three seconds away from first place at the meet.
