Freshman goalkeeper Michael Rodriguez of the men's soccer team had a phenomenal game on Saturday afternoon, recording a career-best 18 saves against Old Westbury. Several of his saves came of the highlight-reel variety, including a pair of back-to-back saves to keep Maritime in the game into the closing minutes.

His performance on Saturday came off the heels of his clean sheet on Tuesday earlier in the week, as he helped the Privateers blank Sarah Lawrence by a 3-0 score.

Rodriguez was selected as the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, September 19, and backup up his accolade fittingly.
