Maritime College Athletics

Brandon Kuster was announced as a recipient for the 2015-16 SUNY Chancellor Scholar Athlete Award.

Kuster was one of two selections for the award for the Privateers.

Kuster will be graduating with a degree in Marine Transportation from Maritime and was submitted with a cumulative grade-point average of over 3.43 through the fall 2015 semester.  Kuster was recently inducted into the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society in late April, and was also inducted into Maritime College's Athletic Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma. He is also a three-time ECFC All-Academic Team member in each of his three seasons as an eligible candidate.
 
On the field, Kuster was a key member of Maritime's offensive line and became the team's left tackle during his senior season. Kuster was a part of the Maritime offensive line that paved the way for league-leading 253.7 yards per game on the ground, which also amassed 372.2 Yards per Game on offense.
