Freshman Alex Poliwoda of the Maritime Baseball team was selected to the Skyline Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the third week of selections during the 2016 season.
 
The selection comes off an impressive week for the rookie, as he led the team with eight innings and a 1.12 earned run average on his two outings last week. On Wednesday, Poliwoda pitched a scoreless inning of relief in the team's victory over City College of New York, striking out a pair in the process.
 
Poliwoda followed that up with a complete game on Saturday, as he tossed seven innings and allowed just one earned run as he struck out eight batters en route to the complete game victory over the Lightning.
