Maritime freshman Kevin Wu of the Skyline Conference Champion Men's Swimming Team, was selected as the league's Rookie of the Year following his performance at this season's Skyline Championship.

Wu finished within the top three of all six of his events at the Skyline Championship with wins in the 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Freestyle Relay. He finished third in the 100 Breaststroke (1:01.20), first in the 50 Freestyle (22.37), third in the 100 Freestyle (49.85) and third in the 100 Butterfly (54.16).

Wu became Maritime's first male Rookie of the Year in the sport of swimming since the 2013 season, when Daniel Hemmer earned the accolades at the Skyline Conference Championship.
