Freshman Nick Pellegrino was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon, after a successful week on the field for the Privateers Men's Lacrosse Team.
On the week, Pellegrino had 10 goals and six assists for 16 points as the Privateers finished the week with a 1-2 record. Included in his 10 goals was the game-winning tally in Friday's victory over Maine Maritime in the 2015 Maritime Cup.
In addition to his offensive numbers, Pellegrino also contributed with 10 ground balls and also had a caused turnover on the week.
On the season, he now has 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points, all of which lead the team. He also has the team lead with a pair of man-up goals, while also amongst the team leaders with 13 ground balls.
