ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Maritime cross country teams were back on the course this Saturday morning at the Bard Raptor Invitational. The men's team took second place in the 20-team field, while the women's team recorded a seventh place finish amongst the 18 teams to score.

Making headlines for the Privateers were sophomore
Sean Hobson (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) of the men's team, who registered the fifth best eight-kilometer time in program history with a time of 27:02.0. Also breaking into the top-10 on the women's side were junior
Katia Aaron (Clarence, N.Y./Clarence) with a 20:49.0, and sophomore
Sheila Flaherty (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) with a 20:50.0, as they took over the fourth and fifth best time in program history on a five-kilometer course.

Hobson led the men's team individually with a fifth place finish with classmate
Marco Rosado (Lajas, Puerto Rico/Academia San Agustin y Espiritu Santo) finishing in 17th place with a time of 28:24.0. Sophomore
Kyle O'Brien (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) was across the line in 20th position with a time of 28:46.0, while sophomore
Curtis Bates (Honesdale, Pa./Damascus Christian Academy) clocked in at 28:58.0. Finishing in the final scoring position for the Privateers was freshman
Kris Bieri (Westwood, N.J./Westwood Regional), who was 30th overall with a time of 29:16.0.

James Bonner (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) was the first alternate finisher with a time of 29:31.0, while junior
Christian Berglin (Hampton Bays, N.Y./Hampton Bays) recorded a 29:43.0 on the afternoon.

Austen Rohmann (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) were across the line in 46th and 60th positions. Senior

Andrew Torti (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy) all finished within the top 100 of the field of 173 total student-athletes.

Aaron and Flaherty led the women's field as the Privateers finished with 236 total points and were just 21 points shy of sixth place, which was occupied by former Skyline foe Sage. Aaron took 29th position with her time, while Flaherty was just one pace off with a 30th place finish.

Junior
Emily Zink (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) took 42nd place with a time of 21:33.0, just two seconds off of her career-best run at Bard that she set a season ago. Fellow junior
Jean Colgan (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) had a time of 22:47.0, which was good enough for 66th position. Freshman
Celine Prenatt (Annapolis, Md./South River) was next across the finish for the Privateers with a time of 23:52.0 to cap off the scoring positions for the Privateers.

Riley Huang (Brooklyn, N.Y./Midwood) registered a 27:18.0 and was the first alternate score for the Privateers in the field of 153.

Maritime returns to action in one week at the Mount St. Mary Knight Invitational hosted by Mount St. Mary at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, N.Y. The women's race begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men's race at 11:45 a.m.
