THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Skyline Conference announced its All-Sportsmanship teams for the Fall 2017 semester with five Privateers representing each of the five teams that compete in the league earning honors.
 
For the second year in a row, juniors Christian Berglin (Hampton Bays, N.Y./Hampton Bays) of men's cross country and Emily Zink (Brockport, N.Y./Brockport) of women's cross country earned all-sportsmanship honors. Earning the distinction for the first time in their respective careers were senior Gabrielle Kempski (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) of the volleyball team, sophomore Leigh Kouril (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) of women's soccer and freshman Neil Dillon (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park) of men's soccer.
 
A total of 67 student-athletes were selected to Skyline Conference All-Sportsmanship Teams in the Fall 2017 season from the 11 programs that comprise the league.

In the 2016-17 academic year, 73 student-athletes were recognized on all-sportsmanship teams. In addition to being part of the Skyline Conference mission statement, the NCAA Division III Philosophy Statement encourages "the development of sportsmanship and positive societal attitudes in all constituents, including student-athletes, coaches, administrative personnel and spectators."

For the fifth-consecutive academic year, Skyline Conference All-Sportsmanship Team honorees are eligible to receive the 2017-18 Male & Female Sporting Awards, which will be voted on by the conference's directors of athletics at the end of the spring season.
