CoSIDA Academic All-District ReleaseGREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2015 Football Academic All-District Teams with Maritime senior
Beau Warrington (Milford, Del./Sussex Technical) earning accolades for the third consecutive season.

Warrington was selected to the 24 member District III First Team that is comprised of teams throughout New York State, he is also just one of four defensive backs chosen for the team. Warrington is the only individual in Maritime history to be selected multiple times in his career with his third straight appearance on the team.
With the All-District Selection, Warrington is now eligible for Academic All-America Honors, to be announced later in the year. He will be looking to become just the second Academic All-American in department history, as
Mayer Nelson of Men's Soccer was selected in 2008.

The senior's lengthy resume of Academic Success and accolades led to his third selection, the most a student-athlete may be selected.

Warrington was a SUNY Chancellor Scholar-Athlete Award recipient in 2014-15, and an Eastern Collegiate Football Conference All-Academic Team Member in each of his two seasons eligible for selection thus far. At Maritime, Warrington has been named to the Admiral's List every semester, achieving a grade point average of 3.45 or higher per term.

Warrington has played and started in all nine of Maritime's contests during his senior year and has amassed 43 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for a loss in yardage. He has one interception, five pass breakups, and one blocked kick on the season as well.

He has picked up 116 tackles in his 30 career contests, with two blocked kicks, two interceptions, and has also forced and recovered one fumble in his four seasons with the Privateers.

In addition to Warrington representing Maritime, the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference had eight other selections. Norwich had three, Castleton had two, while Anna Maria and Husson each had one student-athlete selected in District I. Gallaudet also had one selection in District II.

Maritime (4-5, 2-4 ECFC) will wrap-up its 2015 season with a home contest on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. against Gallaudet.Â
