        THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Nov. 18, 2013) – The Maritime men's and women's cross country teams ended the 2013 season at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Meet held at Letchworth State Park up in Geneseo, N.Y. this past Saturday. The men finished in 31st place out of a very competitive 38-team field, but, impressively, the Privateers were the top Skyline school to finish. The women had just two runners at the event.
 
        Sophomore Cameron Coneys (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) led the Privateer men by finishing in 69th place out of 275 runners with a time of 26:32.7 in the 8K race. Freshman Kevin Sun (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) was the second Maritime runner to cross the finish line, running to a 184th place finish in 28:38.3, while junior Chris Whalen (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland) (Altamont, N.Y./Guilderland) placed 234th in 30:38.9. Rounding out the scoring for the Privateers were freshmen Francis Fata (Whitestone, N.Y,/Archbishop Molloy) (Whitestone, N.Y,/Archbishop Molloy) and Jose Villataro (Copiague, N.Y./Copiague) (Copiague, N.Y./O'Connell) who finished back-to-back in 241st and 242nd place with times of 30:57.2 and 31:01.3, respectively. Senior Frank Morgera (West Nyack, N.Y./Clarkstown South) (West Nyack, N.Y./Clarkstown South) ran a 32:41.8 for a 259th place finish to end out his career.
 
        On the women's side, in her last collegiate race, senior Jackie Bellisari (Albertson, N.Y./Holy Trinity) (Albertson, N.Y. / Holy Trinity) finished in 157th place in the women's 5K race (that featured 269 runners) with a time 24:32.1, while classmate Theresa D'Amore (Blooming Grove, N.Y./Washingtonville) (Blooming Grove, N.Y. / Washingtonville) finished in 242nd place with a time of 27:47.6.
