Coneys And Sun Earn Skyline Weekly Honors; Bellisari Named To Honor Roll

        NEW YORK (Oct. 14, 2013) – On Monday, Skyline Conference Assistant Commissioner Steve Haug announced the weekly honor for men's and women's cross country and Maritime sophomore Cameron Coneys (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) was named the Skyline Male Runner of the Week, while freshman Kevin Sun (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) earned Male Co-Rookie of the Week Honors. On the women's side, senior Jackie Bellisari (Albertson, N.Y./Holy Trinity) (Albertson, N.Y./Holy Trinity) was named to the weekly honor roll. The accolades come after the trio's performances at the College of Staten Island Invitational on Saturday in Clove Lake Park in Staten Island.
 
        Coneys finished in second place overall in the men's 5K race with a time of 16:40.68. He was under two seconds behind the first-place finisher. Sun ended the day in ninth place in 17:54.20. Both Coneys and Sun contributed to the Privateers' fourth-place team finish at the event.
 
        Bellisari was the fourth-place finisher in the women's 5K race with a time of 21:40.71. She helped lead the Maritime women to a fourth-place team finish.

        Maritime is back on the course this Saturday, Oct. 19, when the Privateers take part in the St. Joseph's Invitational at Sunken Meadow Park in Kings Park, N.Y.
