        ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Nov. 11, 2012) – The Maritime Cross Country team sent seven runners up to the NCAA Atlantic Regional Meet on Saturday, hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park. The men's squad finished in 33rd place out of 44 teams that competed, two placed higher than last year's finish at the same event.
 
        The men were led by freshman Cameron Coneys (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields), who placed 51st out of all 297 competitors in the men's 8k race with a time of 26:34.4. He was followed by senior Luke Milano (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh), who finished in 190th place in 28:44.0 and senior Gabriel Rosa (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) who was 241st in 30:06.9.
 
        Senior Matt Taraboletti (Titusville, Fla./Astronaut) and freshman James Martin (East Northport, N.Y./Northport) (East Northport, N.Y./Northport) rounded out the scoring in 249th (30:25.2) and 261st (31:15.3) place. Freshman Steven Mitchell (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) was the last Privateer to cross the finish line, coming in 290th place with a time of 34:39.8.
 
        For the women, just junior Jackie Bellisari (Albertson, N.Y./Holy Trinity) (Albertson, N.Y./Holy Trinity) competed and she placed 155th out of 277 runners in the women's 5K race with a time of 24:59.7.
 
        The Maritime men's and women's cross country teams will be back in action Thursday afternoon, Nov. 15, when they will take part in the 2012 Skyline Conference Championship Meet. It will be hosted by Mount St. Mary College at Chadwick Lake Park up in Newburgh, N.Y. The women's 5K race is set for 1 p.m., while the men will go off at 1:45 p.m. for their 8K race.
