THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (May 4, 2010) – Maritime senior Stephen Doherty (Yorktown, N.Y./Lakeland) (Yorktown, N.Y.) and sophomore Steven Tonn (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) (Wantagh, N.Y.) were both named to the All-Skyline Men's Lacrosse Second Team, as announced by conference commissioner Tracy King on Monday. The all-conference teams were voted on by all seven Skyline head coaches. This marks the third time in Doherty's career that he earned an all-conference selection, while Tonn was recognized for the first time in his two years with the Privateers.

Doherty got a second team attackman nod after leading Maritime with 44 points during the 2010 campaign. His 22 assists ranked first on the team (and 15th in the Skyline – 1.57 per game), while his 22 goals was good for second on the squad. He also picked up 25 ground balls on the year, the team's fifth highest total. The senior's 73 shots and 45 shots on goal also led the Privateers. He was named to the Skyline men's lacrosse weekly honor roll three times during the season: March 1, March 22 and April 19.

Tonn, who made the second team as a defender, ranked second on Maritime with 41 ground balls. He was the team's leader with 17 caused turnovers. The sophomore started 14 games for the Privateers in 2010 and picked up a season-high six ground balls on two separate occasions: in a 12-11 win at Richard Stockton on April 14 and in a 14-4 loss to at then-No. 18 Montclair State on April 21.

The Maritime men's lacrosse team ended the 2010 season with a 5-10 overall record, including an even 3-3 mark in Skyline Conference action under first-year head coach Dan Lawrence. The Privateers earned the No. 4 seed in the Skyline Tournament and made a strong second-half comeback at top-seeded Montclair State in the opening round contest, but fell short, 13-9.
