Maritime Rifle Finishes Second at Coast Guard Academy

New London, CT. — The SUNY Maritime rifle team defeated one of two teams at the United States Coast Guard Academy over the weekend as the Privateers fired a 2096. Maritime defeated the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and lost to the United States Coast Guard Academy.

 

Brandon Webber (Massena, N.Y./Massena) (Massena, NY/Massena) fired a team-high 549, while teammate Amanda Thompson (Evergreen, Colo./Lakewood) (Evergreen, CO/Lakewood) drilled a 525.  Mark DeMarco (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) scored a 523, while Chris Lane (Gloucester, Mass./Gloucester) (Gloucester, MA/Gloucester) earned a 499.

 

James Worrall (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) fired a 492, Karly Moise-Duquella (Haiti/Young Jesus St. Theresa), recorded a 481, and Daniel Vorsky (Old Bridge, NJ/St. John Vianney) shot a 400.

 

Maritime returns to action on Sunday Nov. 9 at Wentworth IT.
