Throggs Neck, NY – Junior Craig Tomalo (Lacey Township, NJ/Lacey Township) (Lacey Township, NJ/Lacey Township) finished fourth after defeating the fourth best grappler in New England during the first set of matches at the Roger Williams Mid-Winter Classic in Bristol, RI on January 6.

 

Junior John Nolan (Shoreham, NY/Shoreham Wading River) (Shoreham, NY/Shoreham Wading River) had a big win in his first match, defeating Josh Jacobs of Muhlenberg, 5-0. In the final, overall standing, the Privateers finished seventh out of eight teams, despite having competed in just five weight classes.

 

Maritime returns to action on Saturday, January 20 when they host Scranton University and Springfield Technology CC for their first home match of the 2006-07 season. Matches are scheduled to begin at Noon.
