Throggs Neck, NY – For the first time in the regatta’s history, the host team Dowling College did not come away with the first place trophy. Instead, it was the Maritime College crew team that stole away the first place trophy after an impressive showing at their third regatta of the season on Saturday November 6th.

 

Carrying a full roster, the Privateers competed in seven men’s events and one women’s event. The men’s novice eight and junior varsity four both had first place finishes while the women’s novice four, the men’s varsity eight, four and two all had a second place finishes. Racing two boats in the men’s novice four, the Privateers took second and third place rounding out a very successful day.
