Throggs Neck, NY – The Maritime College men’s crew team had a good showing at the Head of the Charles on October 22nd in Boston, MA. Competing at the event, the men’s 8+ boat finished 26th out of 52 boats which were comprised of international and club teams.

 

Manning the 8+ boat were juniors Kevin Heath (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining) (Bow Seat), Doug Sier (Matthews, VA/) (3-Seat), Chris Dotterer (Catasaugua, Pa./Catasaugua) (4-Seat) and Connor Leahy (Burnt Hills, N.Y./Burnt Hills) (Stroke); sophomores Paul Burgess (Mount Vernon, Va./West Patomac) (2-Seat), Zach Comer (6-Seat) and David McCleery (7-Seat); freshman Ben Welch (Melbourne, FL/Culver Military) (5-Seat) and the Coxswain was senior Ashleigh Teitel.
