2.22.2010 | Ice Hockey
The Maritime hockey team defeated arch-rival Kings Point, 5-2, late Saturday night in front of a raucous crowd at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, Long Island – less than a mile away from the USMMA campus. The game, which was a scrimmage, was the last action of the season for the Privateers.

2.19.2010 | Ice Hockey
The Maritime hockey team lost its final four regular season games of the 2009-10 season to Fordham (5-1 on Feb. 5), Columbia (8-4 on Feb. 6), St. Thomas (7-6 on Feb. 12) and Suffolk (6-5 in overtime on Feb. 13). With the losses, the Privateers ended the year with a 6-11 record, a great turnaround from the 0-15 record posted in the 2008-09 campaign.

Six different players scored for the Maritime hockey team, leading the Privateers to a 6-3 win over MCHC-opponent SUNY New Paltz Sunday at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. Maritime improves to 6-7 (5-7 MCHC) with the win, while the Ice Hawks fall to 2-9-0-2 in Met Conference action.

The Maritime hockey team, led by freshman Daniel Tyx’s five points and a hat trick by sophomore Cullen Bozza, scored a season-high 15 goals to defeat visiting Stevens, 15-3, Saturday night at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, L.I. With the victory, the Privateers improve to 5-7 overall (4-7 MCHC), while the Ducks drop to 3-9.

The Maritime hockey team opened the 2010 portion of the season with a 6-2 loss to the County College of Morris Saturday night at the Parkwood Sports Complex in Great Neck, Long Island. The Privateers fall to 4-7 overall (3-7 MCHC), while CCM improves to 5-5-0-1 with the victory.

Jorrie Trenkamp
Women's Soccer
Trenkamp was named to the Skyline Conference women's soccer honor roll for the first week of the season after she recorded the first two goals of the season for the Pirvateers in their loss at Southern Maine on Sunday.

Football
Barnes was named ECFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 1 after he was all over the field Thursday night in the Privateers' 15-12 season-opening win over rival Mass. Maritime in the Fourth Annual Chowder Bowl, recording a game-high 17 tackles (14 solo and 3 assisted), including one for a loss of eight yards. He is no stranger to ECFC Defensive Player of the Week nods, as he earned the accolade a conference-best three times during the season in 2009.
