Maritime Women's Lacrosse Awarded Conference's Sportsmanship Award

Throgs Neck, NY - Despite a tough season, the women's lacrosse team stuck together and continued to give everything they had in them day in and day out. That effort did not go unrecognized, as the coaches of the Skyline Conference voted the Privateers as the team who showed the most sportsmanship throughout the course of the season.

Matt Cresswell Named to the Skyline Second Team All-Conference

Throgs Neck, NY - SUNY Maritime placed another student-athlete on an All-Conference Team for spring sports, when junior Matt Cresswell (Commack, NY/Commack) was selected to the Baseball Second Team this afternoon. Cresswell made the team as a utility player, having played third base, designated hitter, and pitcher over the course of the season.

Donald Toby Named Skyline Conference Player of the Year; Five Privateers Named to All-Conference Teams

THROGS NECK, NY - Following the coaches voting on Sunday, Donald Toby (Oceanside, NY/Oceanside) was named the Conference Player of the Year. Four other Privateers were named to an All-Conference Team as well.

Men's Lacrosse Earns Bid to Post Season ECAC Tournament

Throgs Neck, NY - The SUNY Maritime men's lacrosse season is not over yet, as the team was just informed that their 2008 season will contain at least one more contest. The Privateers were selected as the third seed in the ECAC Metro 4-team post season tournament that begins this Friday, May 9th. Maritime will travel to Drew University, the tournament's second seeded team, at 7:00 p.m.
